Paintings

Painting has always been a huge passion of mine from as early as I can remember, and was the subject I studied and graduated in.

I love the whole process of creating a piece of work from conception, composing and drawing; to the challenge of creating the colours I am looking for, then the physical act of applying the paint to canvas.

I become so completely absorbed in this practice that time and everything around me passes without notice.

I delight in taking everyday objects that we might otherwise overlook, and turning them into beautiful images, focusing primarily on light, shadows and colour.

Although my painting subjects have experienced changes though-out the years, I have always returned in some form or other to the simple pleasures in life, such as a nice cup of tea.
